Routout CNC - MeshCam & MeshCam Art

3D Cam Software for your Mill / Router

Routout CNC - MeshCam Standard.

Description and Specification.

Features ( MeshCam Standard)

  • Dedicated 3D Machining
  • MeshCAM was built from the ground up for machining 3D models and to do it as quickly and as easily as possible.
  • Roughing and finishing passes can be generated in seconds with minimal user interaction.

Supports Popular Formats
MeshCAM supports the two most popular 3D formats, STL and DXF. These two formats enable compatibility with virtually every CAD package. MeshCAM uses an extremely robust toolpath algorithm; it has no problems with incomplete solids or other file errors that can cause problems with other programs.

Easy Learning Curve
MeshCAM was built from the ground up with a focus on ease-of-use and a logical workflow. Thousands of people have used the program and provided feedback that helped make MeshCAM one of the easiest CAM programs available.

Two-Side Machining
MeshCAM has built in two-side machining functionality. This mode makes it easy to machine both the front and back of a complicated object without complicated fixtures. Supports and a frame are added to hold the object in a standard vise during machining.

Configurable Output
MeshCAM can generate gcode for almost any common machine and comes with support for most machines built-in. If your machine accepts a standard version of gcode and is not supported by default we will provide a new post processor free of charge.

  • Additional Features

Avaliable to MeshCam Art Users
Image-Based Design
Everything in MeshCAM Art is image-based. Other programs are vector-based so you'll need to create outlines, then regions, then shapes. You can create the base art for MeshCAM Art in any paint program and apply shapes directly to the images you create. Users have been able to create quality work within hours of downloading the demo.

Full Geometry History
MeshCAM Art remembers every step that you took to build your geometry. If it becomes necessary to go back a few steps to change a profile or add another step you can do so without having to undo all of your work. The full history can be saved and reloaded later so that you can make changes in the future without duplicating your work.

Interoperability
There will be times that you'll need to move your work between programs to get the results you need. To support this MeshCAM offers several ways to export your work- BMP and PNG height maps or STL and DXF 3D files. This flexibility allows data exchange between almost any other CAD/CAM program.

Direct Machining
Since MeshCAM Art is built on the standard version you'll have all of the machining capability you need right there- no extra programs to generate a toolpath. You provide the initial artwork and within minutes you can have a 3D geometry and a toolpath ready to machine without the need to export from CAD to CAM.

MeshCam & Mach 3 Software are fully compatible with our LPT 3 and 4 axis driven kits for the mill
